Students will learn about the different classifications of the voice and understand the details behind what determines their own unique classification. These include: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, mezzo soprano, soprano, and belter range.

Students will learn the effective steps to proper breathing technique and understand the importance of posture in breathing management.

Students will learn about the details of vocal registers including the TA & CT muscles, the passaggio (break), range, and placement.

Students will learn the importance of proper enunciation of vowels, compound vowels, consonants and vowel modification techniques.

Students will learn to distinguish between the head and chest voice and practice choosing songs that utilize their mixed voice based on their vocal classification.

Belting

Student will learn the complexity of belting by studying the difference in the head and chest voice, falsetto and whistle tone. They will also focus on creating a mixed voice by understanding correct placement and vocal technique.

Students will learn the importance of obtaining good vocal quality through healthy safeguards. These include proper hydration, diet, exercise, and balancing the capacity of your voice.

Students will learn how to identify focal points for hand, eye, and body gestures on stage. They will also practice microphone techniques suitable for their unique vocal profile.

Students will learn the importance of breaking down song structure and interpreting lyrics from a biblical perspective. They will study rhythm, melody, dynamics, BPMs, keys, and much more.
